Nosco Shipyard completed Major project
Nosco Shipyard recently launched a landmark multi-million dollars in contractual value as informed by the Shipyard on social media handle.
That was SSL Visakhapatnam, a 24,376 DWT bulk carrier sailing under the flag of India. Being built in 1996, she is 26 years old.
It took us 4 months to turn her from an old vessel to a powerful warrior on the sea. 800 tons of steel had been replaced together with propeller and tail shaft maintenance, pipeline and valves repair, pumps overhaul, and final repainted hull. This is our landmark project in the aspect of revenue and it also is an interesting and challenging project in aspect of technical matters to our team. As being said, SSL Visakhapatnam was built 26 years ago that make her machinery system is a bit old to the current technology nowadays.
